Outta time, my bacon is smellin’ fine

Swine my brotha?

Anyway, this update is all about the Martial Artist, who so far, is going to be my least favorite class to design and if I ever get an artist, they’re going to hate me for sure. The reason? He has style changes within his class. Take a look at these skills:

***The Martial Artist***

Flavor Text: Through diligence and practice, you have learned to make your body into an even deadlier weapon by learning two different fighting styles. You even have learned to mix Soul energy with Chi to further increase your defenses.

Tier 1: Snake Style
Matthew changes his fighting style to Snake. Gives him
two new attacks, 2% chance to poison an enemy
10% of Soul Gauge

Tier 2: Muay Thai

Matthew changes his fighting style to Muay Thai. 3 new
attacks. 1% chance to OHK and enemy (no bosses)
10% of Soul Gauge

Tier 3: Dragon Twister
Matthew does a spinning kick, which draws in enemies.
Attack
20% of Soul Gauge

Tier 4: Change Up
Swaps Attack and Defense stat for 1min
50% of Soul Gauge
CAN BE USED WITH Snake Style AND Muay Thai
AND Dragon Twister

Tier 5: Chi Shield

Matthew bolsters his def with a mixture of Chi and
Soul. Halves incoming Damage(Soul/Att).
Soul Gauge drain(5% each second)

Tier 6: Masters Diligence
Upon Activation, choose a style (Snake or Muay Thai)
Attacks from the selected style x3. Lasts 1.5 minutes
Exhausts Soul Gauge

Now, because I love my sanity even though it’s trying it’s best to escape me I only kept it to two different fighting styles. This Class will be about versatility, and switching between the two different styles to setup chaining combos. The only skill that actually doesn’t promote this idea is the tier 6, and the reason for that was to give the player a break. This class is going to be pretty technical, and since Attack and Soul aren’t the Martial Artist’s forte, this skill will give you then chance to wail on enemies, without having to chain attacks. x3 attack? Psssh, you’ll be fine.

Despite the fact that I and an artist are going to have to study some basic Muay Thai moves, and the Snake fighting style, we have our work cut out for us, but it’s gonna be worth it in the long run.
